Went for a meal for friend's birthday. Service was appalling, one member of staff in particular was incredibly rude food was absolutely horrendous, no vegetables or potatoes brought with main meals and when we asked for some it took 20 mins and we have finished by the time it arrived ! Will certainly not be returning and would not recommend to anyone !

Hi
We went to Heathcotes for this New Year and I thought that the food was lovely, we had the New Year Menu. I thought the service was fine considering they were a bit short staffed for which they were extremely apologetic for. We didn't feel like we were being rushed out or that they needed the table. Will go again

This place is seriously overrated - it is living off past glories and the quality of food and service is seriously low.
One example if my last course in a set Christmas menu - I had cheese. The Brie was so unripe and hard it bounced and the other cheeses were bland and when I complained the waiteress didnt even know that bire was not supposed to be like that. No aciton was taken so no tip was given - I will not be going again

very disappointing, poor service, though the wine was good, seemed very disorganized - stopped off at MacDonalds on the way home ...enough said

service was appaling, 2 in our party got their main course half an hour after the rest. The portions were ridiculously small. The pasta tasted revolting there was so much butter in it - ( first time I have found a restaurant that can ruin pasta).Dont have the fried gnocchi - it is abysmal. Very expensive, pretentious and over priced - what a disappointment
for my wife`s birthday - 20 th May

The food is of a good if not exceptional standard, however, the decor of the restaurant, which may have been cutting edge when it opened in 1996, somehow now seems a little bland and lacking. The chairs and floor were looking a bit battered and in need of replacement.
Still, if you appreciate good food at a sensible price served by friendly, attentive staff you can't go far wrong.

The last time we went was with friends on a Monday night. It was quiet but the food was of excellent quality and good value for money. It remains our favourite restaurant. The service is always friendly and attentive. Recommned looking on their website and going when they have their regular offers on which usually include free wine.
