Thank you for a lovely evening.

unfortunately that is where the experience ended for myself and my family. This first shock is the highly inflated menu prices. Main dishes are around 50%-70% higher than UK prices and quality of food is no better. Check out the menu prices on their web site first to see if you are happy to pay this.
The service was the worst aspect. Vegetarian spring rolls came packed with prawns ! Out chicken curry without vegetables came with lots of vegetables and despite asking no prawn crackers ever came. After the main course was served we were virtually invisible to staff and I had to ask for the dessert menu three times, the third attempt I have to say I was very abrupt. It still took some time to come !
The average price was 33 Euros per head which is expensive by any standards.
I am sure you could do much better in Amsterdam.

Now the disappointment, the service was OK, but they got a couple of dishes confused, which might be more down to a language problem than anything. We decided to go for the 35 Euro Hong Kong banquet for 4 people. It was very disappointing the Dim Sum was a small plate of 4 items very unappealing to look at and quite bland in taste. The soup was just boiled water with spring onions in and 4 dumplings which were okay. I like Chinese soups, but this was very poor, no taste. The main meals were not much better, rather bland presentation, overly thick sauces that didn’t taste quite right and as for the duck I have never had Duck as a main meal which is on the bone, so you have to remove it from the bone, which is messy when covered with so much sauce. I also thought the quantities were quite small.
Given the fact that it’s not cheap and with the exchange rate of (1.05 Euro to the £) it worked out for 2 of us with drinks and the set meal at £80. I would pay £40-£50 back home for 2 of us in any one of Manchester’s great Chinese restaurants and get a much better meal in terms of taste, presentation, value for money and service.
Therefore its all looks and no substance, which is a shame because if the food matched the décor and the price then this could truly be a great Chinese experience, but at the end of the day its an overly expensive meal similar in quality to a take away chip shop back in England.
Would I go again, NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
