Chef Allen's

Stowed away behind a strip mall, many still flock to this North Miamian eatery. Chef Allen Susser’s menu consists of what many have dubbed New World Cuisine. The Caribbean fusion food is made up with exotic vegetables, fruits, and spices. You are likely to forget your first impressions of the less then stellar building exterior once you sit down in the more elegant and appropriate dining room. Though it is expensive, you are unlikely to have tried food similar to Susser’s creations. A man like Susser does not rack up awards, like the James Beard award for best American chef in the Southeast, for food that is any less then stellar.
