With a trendy Manhattan location and an award winning chef, this French restaurant has all the elements of top notch eatery. Chef Eric Ripert provides a strong fish menu and has very inventive ideas. The modern looking blue carpeting and brown wood décor fit the place nicely. Now over 30-years-old, Le Bernadin is still going strong thanks to the drive of co-owner Maguy Le Coze, who founded the restaurant in 1972 with her brother Gilbert. Le Bernadin has received several awards including high honour’s from Zagat’s guide to dining in New York.

Everything about our lunch was wonderful. The staff was attentive and our food delicious. One of the best meals in N.Y. and it was expensive. Especially the wine. We will return again. There was a desert that knocked us over. It was an egg shell with a chocolate concoction inside - a multi layered experience of taste delights.

It was excellent and we will return. Loved the fish and the mushroom tartlet.
We have eaten in all of the top restaurants in NY and this was one of the top two.

Not bad, but not up to what you get in Paris.
