Although it is no longer regarded as the zenith of eating in Paris, La Tour d’Argent still produces one of the finest dining experiences in the world. With a beautiful panoramic view of Notre Dame and the Seine River, La Tour d’Argent serves up absolutely brilliant dishes, under the careful eye of chef Claude Terrail. Although the menu mainly consists of duck, the kitchen can still produce absolutely delightful dishes with other ingredients.

I was lucky to take two very dear Parisian friendsof mine to lunch here in November. All I can say is that if you are looking for fine food, a great view and kind staff, this is the place for you. Not a cheap meal, but then quality comes at a cost. A great place to dine.

An evening at La Tour d'Argent is a memorable experience. We found everything to be most enjoyable from the moment we were greeted, the apertif and relaxation on the ground floor, excellent meal and wine with a great view (we all had the house specialty -duck), and a visit through the cave.

We dined here in April, '05. We had made reservations months in advance but were for the most part dissappointed with the experience. Lobster bisque, good but a bit too heavy, I think Maine does a better job. Duck, now that was excellent! Steak, I've tasted better on the rare occasions I've lowered my standards and visited Sizzler. Pate de foie gras, completely unremarkable. There were moments that the service was very good but just as often that it was poor. The reccomended bottle of wine, at US $208.00, was unmemorable. We don't mind spending money for a wonderful experience, but the US cost of $768.00 truly wasn't worth it. I'm happy that we went, but we wouldn't return.
