Formerly headed by world famous chef Alain Ducasse and now at least under his management, Le Louis XV in Monaco has faltered a bit, but recently regained its prestige under current executive chef Franck Cerutti. What is so striking about Le Louis XV is its incredible elegance; it is the very definition of posh. The menu is enormous and full of delicious choices. Le Louis XV is considered to be a bright point in the already shining Rivera.

Stayed in l'Hotel de Paris in June and had dinner here. We sat on the terrace overlooking the square and ordered from the "pour le gourmets" menu (for 2 persons).
The food, wine, cheese and desserts were spectacular and I believe, as an experience, it rates as the best meal I've ever had to date. Deserves every one of it's Michelin stars.

Been there, it's an amazing place. The food is really very good. It relies a lot on local food and supplies, giving a very personal touch you wouldn't expect from a hotel restaurant.
The prices are rather cheap given you're in Monaco (but then again, it's a 3* restaurant, so don't expect less than 300 euros per head).
The place is very nice, the terrace sublime, and you can watch your car (if yuo travel with it) being photographed like a movie star (unlike yourself sigh...)
